Intro To Sketch Writing
For over a decade David Canavan has worked as a copywriter and creative director in New York City. Coincidently he has spent the same amount of time looking for the perfect gyro sandwich in Queens.
His work has been recognized by the One Show, the Art Directors Club and has been written about in publications like Communication Arts, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and discussed on numerous cable news shows. Over his career he’s written in a variety of voices and styles creating everything from Superbowl spots to social posts. He’s thought up creative solutions for tech brands like Facebook and AT&T as well as consumer packaged goods like, Pringles, Downy,
Kerrygold and many more.
In 2010, he graduated from the rigorous masters program, the VCU Brandcenter, and is currently based in New York as a creative director at Droga5. Outside of writing, he enjoys stylish socks, non-fiction, clean car interiors and anything timeless or obsolete.
